A SAMPLE OF SOME CLASSES/WORKSHOPS WE'VE HAD IN 2007 . . . .

Adora's "Make-A-Baby-Doll" Event.  Held on Sunday, September 29th, 2007 from Noon until 3 pm.  The instructor agreed to take children as young as four as long as an adult attended to help them make their baby.

Happy Mommy
Youngest Participant

A few of our students with their completed baby dolls!  The tricky part was getting the wig glued on correctly.  Then the doll assembly went quickly.  Some were then dressed in Adora clothes, some were wearing real baby clothes!  All were well loved by their mommies!  We will be holding a second "Make-A-Baby-Doll" Event on Sunday, April 13, 2008 at noon.  Sign up by March 29th.   Cost: $47.25  Call or stop by the store for more details!

FROM A 20" BABY DOLL TO A MINIATURE BRIDE DOLL . . . .

The JoAnne Roberts Dress-A-Bride-Doll Class.  Held on Saturday, October 20th, 2007 from 9 am until 6 pm.

Busy Workers Sisters And The Veils
Rose Working On Sleeves
After the continental breakfast and coffee everyone was ready to master running stitches, glue lace trim, and cut the white silk trains to their proper length!  The small work involved keeping track of trims as small as sequins and glueing on a back bodice the size of a nickel.

Vegas Show Girl Bride
It took all day, but the Brides are ready!  These finished dolls were all different and all beautiful!  From the Victorian Lady to the Vegas Vixen - each doll had her own story and personality expressed in her gown!
Carmen's Beauty

Two of the ladies in the class felt that they had extremely limited sewing abilities and they were thrilled that their dolls turned out as lovely as the instructor's bride doll.  Another student commented that she never has success with fabrics in her miniature projects - but she was impressed with how nicely her bride doll turned out.  A credit to the teacher: all the students were pleased and impressed with what they had accomplished!  Everyone left with a completely dressed doll (some pearls still needed to be glued on a few of them, but they were all fully dressed)!
