Here are some photos of my own personal projects - mostly roomboxes.  Check the menu list at the left to access photos/stories of particular projects such as the Mediterranean Kitchen Roombox, the Southwestern Box my daughter painted for me (under "More Roomboxes"), and/or the Woodland Tissue Box Project that I never used to hold tissues - you'll never guess what this tissue box held! (the Woodland Tissue Box is located under the "Other Roomboxes" file at the left).

The Office Library, furnished with Bespaq furniture, was completed for our Roombox Contest to raise money for Loudoun Abused Women's Shelter.  Although I could not win (as I am an employee of Happily Ever After) I still wanted to complete a roombox to help raise money for a good cause.

I put a photo of the empty roombox below the two photos of the finished box.  The hardest part of this project was staining the exterior of the box.  The Minwax Bombay Mahogany stain matched the Bespaq Mahogany furniture perfectly!  But it took four coats (lightly sanding between each coat) of stain and two coats of a clear polyeurathane to get the deep, rich shine and color I wanted.  I was worried the room would be dark and difficult to view due to the dark woods.  And I did not want the expense of electrifying the roombox.  So the clear plexiglass top and front were a perfect solution!

Stop by our store or send me an email  to let us know what you think of this and the other roomboxes, vignettes, and projects listed on the left!
